You may just add your ISP, giving :
- Name of your ISP
- If possible, an URL linking to a "technical" page for your ISP (showing VPI / VCI / encapsulation / download & upload rate / DNS ... e.g. a good example)
- Country
- DNS (give 2 at least, they appear in /etc/resolv.conf)
- Modem furnished (name, model - see at the back of it - provide lsusb # result as root) is it purchased separately of provided by the ISP ?
- VPI
- VCI (value in decimal and in hexadecimal)
- Encapsulation
- MTU / MRU if known (have a look at /var/log/messages when using startadsl -d like debug to connect + ifconfig -a for MTU)
- Connection mode /method (pppd or dhcpd or static)
- is a login needed (which format ? e.g. fti/login@fti for France Telecom) ? is the password encrypted (for pppd) ?
- Linux (kernel) version and eagle-usb version that works for you (possibly your distribution...)
- most of these informations are available with the result of the command eaglediag -sc
This will allow us to update informations on
this page and update (automatically) the
ListConfigADSL, thus making things easier for people in same situation as yours.

Finally I found the problem with the connection of Telefonica(Speedy) of argentina with the modem arescom 1060N usb. The thing is that the info given in the driver its not correct for this argentine connection. Because the posibility is: AR01VPI 1 VCI(hexa) 35(23) Encapsulation 1
And the really is that here the configuration have to be : AT02 VPI 8 VCI(hexa) 35(23) Encapsulation 1
Swiss ISP Ex Tiscali call VTX Datacom.
Has pppoe LLC 8 23. So Before used Sweden SE01. At installation made it automatically what was the default and it did not work. Tried to change to other AT02 which is Austria also not worked. changed it to CH02 which is Swiss and pppoa (mine is pppoe as I told) and it works now surprisely with that. So may be try look on it.
